Roberto Ferrari is the data controller and the private lessor of Stagnone Homes, in the Lo Stagnone area of Marsala, Sicily. The homes are managed privately, on a non-business basis. For privacy enquiries and requests, contact stagnonehomes@gmail.com.

Providing information for an enquiry is voluntary. We need sufficient contact and booking details to reply and arrange your stay; without legally required guest information we may be unable to provide accommodation. Please avoid sending sensitive information or identity documents in a general enquiry.

• Enquiries: your name, email address, any phone number you choose to provide, travel dates, guest numbers and message are used to answer questions and prepare a requested booking. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); for other correspondence, our legitimate interest in responding to your request (Article 6(1)(f)).
• Bookings and stays: contact and booking details, payment status and information needed to arrange your stay are used to perform the booking agreement (Article 6(1)(b)). Guest information required for registration, public-safety reporting and applicable fiscal duties is processed to meet legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
• Website operation: the hosting provider receives technical connection data, such as IP address, browser information and requested pages, to deliver and secure the website. The basis is our legitimate interest in a functioning and secure website (Article 6(1)(f)).
• Optional statistics: if configured and only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), Google Analytics 4 is used to measure page visits and use of the website using browser and device information and cookie identifiers. Advertising personalisation is not enabled by this website. You can refuse analytics without affecting enquiries or bookings.

The contact form prepares a message in your email application. It does not send the message automatically or store it in a website inbox. We receive it only when you send it; correspondence is handled through our Gmail address.

Availability and direct bookings are provided through Beds24. When you request availability, your selected dates, guest numbers and home are passed to its booking service. Beds24 processes booking information on the accommodation provider’s behalf. Payment services shown during checkout process payment details under their own notices. If PayPal is offered and you select it, PayPal handles the payment; this website does not collect your full card details.

The website uses Google Fonts for typography and includes Windy maps and webcam content and Windfinder forecasts on relevant pages. Loading these services connects your browser to the respective provider and communicates technical data such as your IP address. External services have their own privacy and cookie practices. The site’s analytics choice controls Stagnone Homes’ Google Analytics; it does not change preferences you hold with external providers.

When Google Analytics is configured, its tag loads only after you opt in to Analytics. Before that, it makes no requests to Google Analytics, including requests without cookies. You can change or withdraw your choice through Cookie preferences at any time. Withdrawal stops future collection by this site; it does not automatically erase data already lawfully collected. Data may be received by providers of hosting, email, booking and payment services, by people assisting with your stay where necessary, and by public authorities when required by law. Providers may act as processors on our instructions or as independent controllers for their own services and legal duties. Personal information is not published on this website.

Some providers, including Google and PayPal, operate internationally and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Their terms describe applicable transfer arrangements, including adequacy decisions where applicable and standard contractual clauses. For Google Analytics, Google’s data-processing terms describe these safeguards. You can request information about the arrangements relevant to your data, and a copy of applicable safeguards, by emailing us.

• Enquiry correspondence is kept for the time needed to handle the request and any related follow-up. If it leads to a booking, relevant correspondence becomes part of the booking record.
• Booking and administrative records are kept for the stay and for the periods required by the applicable fiscal, reporting and civil-law obligations. Where a dispute exists, relevant records may be kept until it is resolved and the applicable claim periods expire.
• Technical records are kept for the period needed to operate the service, investigate failures and address security incidents. Provider-specific retention depends on the service and its applicable notice.
• When Analytics is active, its data is kept to assess website usage and improvements, according to the retention settings of the Analytics service; cookie lifetime and server-side retention are different. Cookie preferences remain valid for six calendar months; analytics cookies set by this website have a maximum configured lifetime of 180 days, without renewal on each visit. Details of the retention arrangements relevant to your data are available on request.

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity; the usual response deadline is one month, with extensions only as permitted by law.

You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or the competent supervisory authority in your place of habitual residence or work. Stagnone Homes does not use your data to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
